♬About Me♫
When you decide to trust someone with your music education, you expect them to help you progress.
I have B.A. in Music Education and another in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. That means that I understand the vocal mechanisms, and I know how to make you feel them in such a way that you can learn to control them. The term for what I do is Vocal Fixer; there are actually not very many of us, and not every vocal teacher is a vocal fixer. I can make your voice the best version of itself, and we aim for progress every week while having a lot of fun finding it. I apply the same technique to Piano and Theory lessons as I do to Vocal Fixing; I teach *you,* taking into account the way that *you* learn, and applying lots of honest encouragement, rather than applying a stock method to the entire studio. The result is a lot of fun and excitement and empowerment...and real progress.
I understand the music on the page, and I understand the music that happens when you stop concentrating on the page. I can help you read the notes, and I can help you go beyond them and make music that no one can write down. I leverage my skills and experience to help you learn to make the music that is in you.
In short, I make musicians. All around, well-trained, true musicians are few and far between; I know what goes into that training, and I can provide it to you. Wherever you’re starting, whatever your natural talent, I can teach you…and we will have fun in the learning.
